THE FOUNDERS…

Jermaine Riley - The creator of Extraman

British singer/songwriter, Jermaine Riley grew up watching golden era Saturday morning cartoons, such as Thundercats, Transformers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As the archtypical "best drawer in the class", he would often sneak extra sheets of plain A4 at the end of each school day to spend hours practicing at home. During his youth, he amassed a huge comic book collection, but his late teens saw his music career take off. Despite this, his passion for visual art remained strong, and he pursued a freelance graphic design career alongside his music, illustrating single covers and album artwork for himself, other musicians, and major label artists. It was no coincidence that he quickly branded himself as the "R&B Superman," releasing one superhero-themed project after another.

Fast forward to February 10th, 2021. After almost 20 years of experience as a professional recording artist, inspiration struck whilst Riley was playing a video game featuring a certain biracial web-slinger. "I need my own sh*t," he realized. He immediately picked up his pad and pencil and proceeded to sketch what would become the flagship character for Kindred Comics, marking the beginning of a new chapter and inevitably a new career as a comic book creator.

Glen Murphy - The Co-creator of Extraman

Britain’s Got Talent Champion Glen Murphy has always had a passion for storytelling, which began when using his diverse collection of toys to pit superheroes like Spiderman and the Power Rangers against armies, anime characters, and robots in imaginary battles.

Even in his early years, Murphy was always drawing with inspiration from his favourite TV show Dragonball Z. This early passion for creativity and imagination led him to explore different forms of artistic expression. His love for dance emerged during his teenage years, and he began his career as a professional dancer. Murphy's passion for music, dance, and comics merged when he created themed dance routines for his favourite characters, bringing his imagination to life on stage.

In 2021, Murphy's life took a new turn when a close friend of 15 years approached him with an idea that would shape their future.
